Is
it Time for the Beach Yet?
Summer
has officially arrived. As if Y’all didn’t know by now. It going to be “The Long HOT Summer” too. It’s easy to convince
people of “Global Warming” oops that’s “Global Climate Change” now isn’t it?
(Off on a tangent) because it seems to be wormer now than when I was a kid. It
can’t be that I’m less tolerant of the heat, it’s just dam hot!!!
Sitting
on the shore drinking a cool beer whilst sitting under an umbrella watching the
sun rise over a calm Atlantic, walking a mile to nowhere and back again. Napping
on the sand listing to the serf, watching firm bodies in tiny bikini’s play volleyball,
now that’s entertainment. All that makes the nearly hour drive to and fro
worth every minute spent.
I have
been going to the same stretch of beach for almost fifty years. That’s not to
say I don’t go/have gone to others but this is the ONE. The bathroom and rinse
showers are on the boardwalk at the top of the dune. Pizza place,
Starbucks and ColdStone are right there with a WallGreens & surf shop
across the street. Everything one needs close enough, but when you’re on the
sand it’s all a million miles away.
Florida
is Paradise!
