We
the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union,
establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence,
promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves
and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United
States of America. (Preamble to the Constitution)
It would
seem that “We” have traded our liberty for the perception of tranquility and
welfare doesn’t mean the same thing it did when this, our, constitution was
written. What will we leave or posterity (children & grandchildren)? Liberty
is freedom!? To go & to do, to say those things each of us wants and holds
in our heart. The place our great nation holds, or is it held, in the world as
a beacon of hope that everyone everywhere can be can reach the fullest
potential of our talents and efforts. Will “We”, Can “We” continue down this
path? Why should “We” want to? More importantly, WHO would want us to?
